Hi! My name is Elizabeth, and I am originally from Manchester, England. I moved to Southwest Florida almost four years ago. One of my favorite memories of Manchester is it has a wonderful international airport!

After successfully completing my High School education at a boarding school in Harrogate, Yorkshire, I went on to study Hotel Management and gained an academic degree. From this point I decided to join the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer…Yes, I know, both just flow together don't they? Hotel Management to Marine Engineer! Being one of the first females to serve onboard ships - now that was an experience!

Upon being honorably discharged from the RN, I joined our successful family business, which involved importing and distributing upholstery and soft furnishings fabrics. My position there became Sales Co-coordinator and my responsibilities included field sales, marketing designer, buyer, in house sales, etc.

During this time I gained an academic qualification in Interior Design and opened an additional showroom. My parents subsequently sold their business to a national fabric company and retired to the sunny shores of Florida. I was promoted to Sales Manager of my own division within the company.

So, why did I move to Southwest Florida?

Probably many of the same reasons you are (I hope) reading this, the climate, really great neighborhoods, the relaxing way of life and of course, very accessible boating, golfing and fishing… Need I continue!

Why did I choose Real Estate as a profession?

I enjoy meeting and working with different people and am very sales orientated, I particularly enjoy showing houses and gain satisfaction from seeing my clients comfortable and happy with their decisions.

Probably due to my varied background, and because when I ask my clients a few questions I am able to obtain a good understanding of my clients' priorities and requirements.

I was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in Dearborn, Michigan. I married my husband, Owen and moved to Wyandotte, Michigan, his hometown. I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. I worked over 20 years for the second largest natural gas utility in Michigan, Michigan Consolidated Gas Co., as a Purchasing buyer for various materials and services.

My husband and I have been coming to Florida every year for the past 15 years for vacation. We belonged to a boat community in Michigan for 15 years and liked Cape Coral for all its 400 miles of canals. My husband, Owen retired and we decided it was time to move to a warmer climate and leave the snow and ice behind. We had a house built on a canal in Cape Coral. My hobbies include cross-stitch, needlepoint, gardening and fishing with my husband.

I was born into a large family, six brothers and six sisters. My life began in Historic Hyde Park, Beautiful Hudson Valley, in Dutchess County, New York.

Immediately, all of us were groomed for business. Our Father was a builder and our Mother a Real Estate Broker. My parents had their own business and insisted their children all procured a REAL ESTATE LICENSE. We were very aware of all phases of construction, and were taught sales when we were practically cutting our teeth. Working at an early age we were exposed to many facets. As soon as possible learning financing and prompted to own real estate, not rent!

I attended a local college with an interest in my education. Meanwhile, I actively sold and listed real estate. I attended many seminars for extra certification in this field and belonged to MLS. I realized the importance of owning your own home. I knew if I invested in a two family, my beginning homeowner years would be supplemented with rental income. This was a great opportunity for me. I was saturated in real estate during my 30 years and learned to love helping people with their dreams.

I am married and have a wonderful husband and a handsome son. Elements occurred for us to have the opportunity of moving to Florida. We became homeowners in Beautiful Southwest Cape Coral.
